We are one of the world’s leading dealers in antiquarian philosophy books, archives and manuscripts. At any one time we have works by most of the major (and many of the interesting minor) European philosophers from the start of the early modern period to the middle of the twentieth century. We’re always interested in purchasing similar items or larger libraries and archives.
We issue regular listings of new acquisitions on this website, and notify customers by e-mail when a new listing is available. Please note that shipping costs are extra. All items are sent on approval, and may be returned within a reasonable time.
In general, we don’t list our rarest and most expensive books on the internet, preferring to discuss them directly with individual customers and sometimes to put them in our catalogues. Please let us know if you are looking for a particular title.

Our current Catalogue 79 (February 2024) includes works by Berkeley, Descartes, Hegel, Heidegger, Hume, Locke, Kant, Machiavelli, J.S. Mill and Adam Smith. The illustrated pdf file is viewable via the link below.
Our stock is not large but it is constantly changing. At any one time we have works by most of the major (and some of the more interesting minor) European philosophers from the start of the early modern period to the middle of the twentieth century.
We have a particular interest in Kant and his contemporaries, and in certain philosophers whose names just happen to begin with the letters ‘H‘ (Hegel, Hobbes, Hume) and ‘S‘ (Spinoza, Schopenhauer, Adam Smith).
